Privacy Policy (UK GDPR)

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by topcasinoadvisoruk.com (“we”, “us”, “our”), the publisher of the casino comparison service available at topcasinoadvisoruk.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We are an independent affiliate comparison publisher. We are not a gambling operator, we do not accept deposits, and we do not operate any games. For questions about this policy or to exercise any of the rights described in section 6, contact us at compliance@topcasinoadvisoruk.com.

2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

  • Technical and device data — IP address (truncated where possible), browser user-agent string, device type, operating system, screen size, and approximate region derived from your IP address.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, referring website, search terms that led you here, and which outbound casino links you click.
  • Advertising click identifiers — when you arrive from a paid advertisement, the advertising platform appends a click identifier to the page URL. We read and store these in your browser so that a later click on a casino link can be attributed to the correct campaign. The identifiers we handle are msclkid (Microsoft Advertising), gclid, wbraid and gbraid (Google Ads), and a generic click_id. They are held in your browser’s local storage under the key gclid.
  • Consent and preference data — your cookie choice and your age confirmation, stored locally in your browser so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
  • Correspondence data — your email address and the content of your message if you write to us.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not collect special category data, payment card details, or gambling account information. Once you click through to a casino operator you are on that operator’s website and their privacy policy applies.

3. Why We Collect It, and Our Lawful Basis

  • Analytics — to understand which pages and comparisons visitors find useful and how they reach us. Lawful basis: your consent.
  • Marketing and advertising measurement — to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns on Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads, and to attribute affiliate referrals to the correct campaign. Lawful basis: your consent.
  • Website improvement — to fix layout and navigation problems, test changes to our comparison tables, and keep our rankings current. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site.
  • Customer support — to answer questions, corrections and complaints you send to us. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • Security and abuse prevention — to detect fraudulent traffic, scraping and attacks. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not build individual advertising profiles ourselves.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal data with the following categories of recipient:

  • Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) — for advertising delivery, conversion measurement and analytics. See section 5.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) — for audience measurement and advertising conversion measurement, where you have consented. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Affiliate partners — the licensed casino operators listed on this site (MrQ, Lottomart) and the affiliate networks that administer those relationships. When you click an outbound link we pass the advertising click identifier described in section 2 so the referral can be attributed and commission calculated. We do not pass your name, email address or any account details.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — the providers that serve this website and store its server logs, acting as processors under contract.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required to disclose data by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. Microsoft Advertising and the UET Tag

We advertise this website through Microsoft Advertising. Where Microsoft Advertising technologies, including the Microsoft Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag, are active on this site, they are used for analytics and advertising purposes — measuring which advertisements led to a visit, building aggregate audience reporting, and enabling remarketing.

Microsoft may collect or receive personal data from users of this website, including the technical, device and usage data described in section 2, and may use that data to provide measurement services and to target advertisements. Microsoft acts as an independent controller in respect of that data.

Full details of how Microsoft processes personal data, and the controls available to you, are set out in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Your UK GDPR Rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
  • Rectify personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your personal data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
  • Restrict or object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Data portability — receive data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. You can withdraw analytics and advertising consent by clearing this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser, which will make the cookie banner appear again so you can choose “Essential only”.

To exercise any of these rights, email compliance@topcasinoadvisoruk.com. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7. How Long We Keep Data

  • Analytics data — retained in aggregate for a maximum of 26 months, after which it is deleted or fully anonymised.
  • Advertising click identifiers — held in your browser for up to 90 days, or until you clear your browser storage.
  • Consent and age-confirmation records — held in your browser until you clear it.
  • Server logs — retained for up to 12 months for security and troubleshooting.
  • Email correspondence — retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of the providers described in section 4 — in particular Microsoft and Google — process personal data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision made by the UK government, or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional technical safeguards. You can request further information about these safeguards using the contact address above.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary browser storage to remember your age confirmation and cookie choice. Analytics and advertising technologies, including those described in sections 4 and 5, are only activated where you have accepted them in our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or by disabling cookies entirely — the comparison tables will continue to work.

10. Security and Changes to This Policy

We serve this site over HTTPS and limit access to the small number of people who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we hold.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Our commercial relationships with the operators listed on this site are described separately in our Affiliate Disclosure.
